Strand Cinema Belfast

corporate support

STRAND TOGETHER AS ONE OF OUR CORPORATE STARS!

We invite you to support the Strand Arts Centre during an exciting, high-profile communications, fundraising and building refurbishment campaign.

At the heart of the community

The new building will be a thriving community space day and night, attracting audiences of all ages, including mums and tots screenings, our Saturday Minors Club for young families, a teenage film club and Silver Screenings of classic movies for seniors.

Pride of place

The Strand is inextricably linked to the history of East Belfast. Renovation of this historic building will add to East Belfast’s growing reputation as a desirable place to live, work and play. The Strand will partner with other tourism providers, traders, hospitality and entertainment venues to help boost the local economy.

Increasing our impact

The Strand has identified clear targets in relation to what the physical changes to the building will deliver:

155% increase in annual footfall

200% increase in…

  • employment of local artists
  • live theatre and music performances
  • events and activities complementing the school curriculum
  • audience numbers for dementia-friendly screening

300% increase in provision of creative skills development workshops

400% increase in number of charitable fundraisers held at the Strand

500% increase in…

  • heritage tour visitors
  • professional theatre companies rehearsing at Strand

Name a Seat Campaign – £300

We urge you to act today and name a seat in the refurbished building. You will have an inscription on a plaque on a seat in either Theatre 1 (the original Art Deco balcony) or Theatre 2 (the old Front Stalls with stage). Plaques will remain for the lifespan of the seats.

Charity of the Year

Would you consider having the Strand as your charity of the year? Your employees will have great fun with helping to organise and host fundraising events and enjoy exclusive movie nights at the Strand.

Corporate Champions – options from £5k and upwards

You will be our partner every step of the way over a three-year period – from fundraising and construction to the opening year post-refurbishment.  In addition to one Principal Sponsor, Strand Arts Centre will have no more than 8 non-competing Corporate Champions from different business sectors.

Your brand will be associated with a ‘hearts and minds’ campaign that will embrace and celebrate the love that people have for the Strand in East Belfast.

Audience feedback confirms that the Strand is well established already as a brand, both as an iconic East Belfast landmark since 1935 and more recently as it has evolved its ethos, programme and branding to become Strand Arts Centre.

“It’s part of the DNA of many East Belfast families – parents taking their children will remember being taken by their parents.”

“I grew up with the Strand. The first ever film I saw was at the Strand. The Saturday kids cinema was brilliant. My own children were brought up going to the Strand and now my grandchildren go with me.”

The campaign will bring together different generations, provide numerous opportunities for B2B and B2C marketing, deliver significant PR opportunities and social media reach, and create a lasting and memorable impact within the local community.

We have an amazing story to tell, and we’d love you to help us tell it.

  • Branding and PR – you are invited to play your part in this success story that will deliver significant PR and branding benefits to your organisation.
  • Employee engagement, client entertaining & networking opportunities – as with any new or refurbished building in Northern Ireland, we all want to see it, and be seen in it, first!
  • Digital – you will have the opportunity to engage with Strand Arts Centre’s digital audience across multiple platforms.
  • Community impact – during the refurbishment, Strand Arts Centre will continue to operate a film and arts programme at a number of other venues, including pop-up screenings at shopping centres, schools and nursing homes.

By attending this/these event(s) you are accepting the following Terms & Conditions and agreeing to be bound by them and to comply by all applicable laws and regulations.

Naming Opportunities – from £25k upwards

Three stylish auditoria, two creative learning studios, a bustling Café Bar and dressing room facilities are just some of the spaces in the refurbished building waiting to have your company’s name on them – remember the BT Studio at the Waterfront? It hasn’t been called that for years, but people still remember it. Get in first!
