East Belfast during World War Two

East Belfast during World War Two

This year marks the 80th anniversary of the end of WW2. This talk remembers the role of East Belfast in the war, and also examines the impact of the war on the area, from both a physical and social perspective. This richly illustrated talk will incorporate archival footage, photographs and oral history. Part of our ‘Heritage Talks' programme: free talks about the heritage of the local area, followed by a cuppa and a chat. Hosted by the Strand at our ‘pop-up' venue at Belmont Bowling Club. Made possible by The National Lottery Heritage Fund
